We first saw an opportunity in the storage industry years ago when we went to hire some self-storage space ourselves. It was just too expensive. We then looked into shipping container storage. It was a cheaper alternative with the emphasis on cheap. The yards we visited were often untidy, unkept, flood-prone, and the containers were quite old, rusted and leaking.
As our business was on the Sunshine Coast we thought about setting up a self-storage facility that addressed our concerns; one that was affordable but with near new containers that you could feel confident in storing your most prized possessions. So with that our Self Storage Containers business was born and as they say, “the rest is history”.
It had always been our intention to expand our facilities so in December 2015 we set up Shipshape Self Storage Containers in Yatala, which is halfway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast and very close to the M1. ShipShape Self Storage have seen the facility grow and grow on the back of the unprecedented, and greatly appreciated, support from the local Gold Coast and Brisbane community. We guess we must be doing something right. We have been taken aback by how popular the facility has become in such a short space of time. Our unique position in Yatala conveniently allows us to offer secure and affordable self storage solutions and services to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

You can hire one of our 20 foot our secure self-storage containers or we can store your own. We also have hardstand storage for boats, cars, motorhomes, and caravans. Ideal Location if you live or work near Yatala, Ormeau, Coomera, Oxenford, Helensvale, Willow Vale, Pimpama, Beenleigh or Springwood, we are confident you will not find a more professional, tidy, dry and affordable self-storage facility than ours.
